Firozabad, April 20: A 17-year-old teenaged boy, kidnapped from Bharooch district in Gujarat, was rescued by police following arrest of a person from Sikohabad area in the district, a senior police officer said here today. Alpesh, son of a textile businessman, was rescued from a jeweller”s shop in Shikohabad town last night and the kidnapper Shabeer was arrested, Superintendent of Police Uday Pratap said.
Alpesh was kidnapped by Shabeer on April 16 from Majampur locality in Bharooch after which a case was lodged. Shabeer, a native of Faizabad district in UP, was an employee of Alpesh”s father Rajubhai Veersingh for the last five years.
Shabeer had drugged Alpesh and was taking him to Faizabad. As the kidnapper ran out of money he attempted to sell Alpesh”s bracelet at a jewellery shop where Shabeer was caught, the SP said.
