A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father for an year in Turkpur Badhwar village following which he was arrested, police said on Thursday.
The girl has alleged that her father had been raping her for past one year. He also used to threaten her with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone, Police Station In-Charge Vinay Kumar Saroj said.
After the girl was subjected to severe beating for past two days, she confided in her cousin, who took her to police station on Wednesday, he said.
The accused has been arrested and the girl sent for medical examination, added Saroj.
