Lucknow, May 14: The teenaged girl allegedly hanged by six men here on Monday night in her residence was first gang raped by them, police sources said on Wednesday.
The autopsy report of the minor girl has revealed that she was first gang raped before being hanged to death, the sources said.
Police have not made any arrests in connection with the incident so far. A senior police official said they have developed some clues and were working on it.
Surendra Jatav, the father of the deceased in his complaint yesterday, claimed that his daughter was killed by a group of six men who barged into his residence on Monday night.
They locked Babli, elder daughter of Jatav before hanging his younger daughter Guddan.
The attackers fled from the house after Babli started shouting for help.
Police said Babli has given them certain clues about the identity of the assailants.
