Syed Salman, 19-year-old BBM student died of mysterious injuries in the early hours of Sunday. Salman was a resident of J C Nagar, was brought to the M S Ramaiah Hospital late on Saturday night by a young man who claimed to be his friend. He, however, left the hospital soon after.
Police investigations have revealed that Salman hung out with one of his friends on Saturday evening. Police sources said, when his father called him up around 9 pm, he himself returned the call and said he would come home soon.
After that his family did not hear anything about him until authorities from M S Ramaiah Hospital called them early on Sunday and informed about his death.
A police officer said that ,it look as if Salman suffered an internal head injury either in an accident or was hit on the back of the head with a sharp weapon.
It appears that the youth has given a false name or he was not a friend of the deceased. Efforts are on to trace him, he further added .
