Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today stressed on the importance of technical education in development of the country and said everyone should benefit from use of technology.
Stressing that the aim of research should be welfare of the people, he said corruption can also be checked though the use of technology.
“Technical education is the basis of development of any society and country… Prosperity can be achieved only by adopting technology,” Adityanath said at a programme on technical education here.
“Our engineers should discharge their duties keeping in mind as to what they can do for improving the society.
Seventy-five districts of the state should have identity as 75 products,” he said, adding that checking migration of the youth was among the priorities of his government.
Terming waste management a major challenge, the chief minister said on one hand proper waste management can provide power, which is essential for development and on the other it can provide more job opportunities.
Highlighting the importance of hygiene, he said dreaded diseases like japanese encephalisits, dengue and swine flu can be checked by keeping the surroundings clean.
Exhorting the students to make technology useful for the people of the country, he said it should be such that the last person in social ladder could benefit from it.
