An software engineer from Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, allegedly killed his wife and son before committing suicide at their house at an apartment in Madhapur area here, police said today.
The deceased Manish Sahu (36) and his wife Swetha Sahu (30) Resident of resident of My Home Nawadeep Apartments of Madinaguda reportedly were not having good relationship and it is suspected that he killed his wife Shweta and his five-year-old son Yash Sahu and later committed suicide by hanging himself on Sunday night hours. Madhapur Police Station Inspector K Narasimulu said.
The family was residing in the apartment for the last 3 years. As Manish was continuously absent for his work since last few days, his colleagues went to the apartment to meet him.
As foul smell emanated from his flat today, the neighbours got suspicious and alerted the police who after opening the house door found the bodies of Manish which was hanging to the window rod while the bodies of his wife Swetha and his son were on the bed.
Manish was working at a IT firm here for the past three years. It is suspected that Manish strangled his wife and son before taking the extreme step, the police officer said based on preliminary investigation. The bodies were shifted to Osmania Hospital Mortuary for postmortem and their family members and relatives were informed about the incident. (INN)
