Tech snag forces Praful Patel’s plane to return to city

Mumbai, December 07: A chartered aircraft carrying Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, returned to Mumbai Airport, after being airborne for over half an hour, due to a technical snag.

Later, the Minister left for his destination in a Kingfisher Airlines flight, an airport official said.

“Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, was going to Kolkata in a private aircraft. It took off at 2.59 pm but returned to Mumbai Airport at 3.32 pm,” Mumbai International Airport Limited spokesperson told here.

Patel, later, left by Kingfisher Airlines flight IT 513 at 5.20 pm, the spokesperson said.

Talking to PTI from Kolkata, Patel said, “Nothing important. Only light of landing gear not working.
