Tears welled the eyes of the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu who is generally unfazed in any calamity, when he saw the lifeless body of his fond colleague Kinjarapu Yerrannaidu.
Naidu has reached Nimmada, the native place of Yerran around 3-30 pm on Friday along with his wife Bhuvaneswari and son Lokesh. On seeing Naidu the family started weeping uncontrollably. Naidu himself was moved so much that tears rolled down from his eyes.
Yerrannaidu’s son Ram Mohan Naidu who arrived from London, was brought to Nimmada by road from Visakhapatnam by Chandra Babu Naidu in his vehicle from the airport. Ram Mohan fainted on seeing his father’s body. Chandra Babu Naidu who arrived by a chartered fight, waited at the Visakhapatnam airport with his family members for Rammohana Naidu and brought him to Nimmada along with him.
The last rites Yerran Naidu will be performed Saturday. A pall of gloom descended on Srikakulam, the native district of Naidu. Hundreds of mourners gathered at his village Nimmada, about 30 km from Srikakulam town.
Yerran Naidu’s brother Atcham Naidu, a member of the state assembly, rushed back to Srikakulam from the temple town of Tirupati, where he was visiting.
