SHE teams in Hyderabad arrests 2 men for rape

Hyderabad: In a joint operation SHE teams with the help of KPHB police has arrested two people, a techie and a cloth merchant, on Thursday.

Inspector Kushalkar said the duo allegedly lured two different women promising marriage and had sex with them.

He said in the first incident, N. Srinivas a 27-year-old techie working in Gachibowli lured his 38-year-old boss into a relationship promising marriage and had physical relations for around two years.

Police said that he had physically assaulted her and also threatened to publicise their relationship. Unable to bear the harassment the woman approached SHE teams.

In another incident, a cloth merchant identified as Ramesh Rajpurohith, who hails from Rajasthan, settled in Tanuku, AP runs a cloth store. He got into the relationship with 24-year-old woman, had physical contacts with her on the pretext of marriage.

After a few months, he started avoiding her. But when he came to know that she got a job in a software firm in Hyderabad he started blackmailing her.

The inspector said. “He forced her to continue their relationship,” he added that he also forced the woman to abort her pregnancy.

Ramesh was charged for rape, criminal intimidation and forcing a woman to abort. The two suspects are in police custody.
