Deputy Chief Minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha here on Saturday opined that the government has responsibility to ensure facilities in the government colleges.
Speaking at a seminar on the “Role of Government Degree Colleges in Promoting Inclusive Growth”, the Deputy Chief Minister observed teachers have responsibility to improve skills of the students. The disparities between private and government educational institutions would lead to societal inequalities, he added. There was a dire need to stop this phenomenon and every one had responsibility in this regard.
Rajanarasimha regretted that though the government set up 69 degree colleges this year, the students were not attracted towards them. The teachers should introspect as to why we are failing to attract the students, he added.
