Govt. of Telangana is expected to issue guidelines relating to the transfers of Govt. school teachers within two days. This case is pending for the past one month which is creating anxiety among the teachers.
It is understood that various teachers’ unions made a representation to the Govt. to consider transfers of teachers working at a place for five years instead of eight years but it seems that Govt. is not in a mood to consider this demand. According to the representatives of teachers’ unions, this exercise should have been completed before the commencement of new academic year but due to the lethargy of the officials of the Dept. of Education, the process of transfer of teachers could not be done during the summer vacation.
