On Tuesday, a teacher was arrested for allegedly beating a student in classroom. The arrested teacher was identified as Satish of BBMP School in Malleswaram.
Satish lock up a class VIII student to a room and beat him with a stick as the boy had tiffed with a senior student. He informed the matter to parents on returning home.
The parents hurried back to the school, had a heated argument with the school authorities and lodged a complaint against Satish, according to Vyalikaval Police.
Satish informed the police that the boy would without cause wrangled with senior boys and be naughty with girls. He had not mended his ways despite several wa¬r¬nings.
