Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today reiterated that TDP will stand as a rock behind the BC’s in their struggle to get their due benefits and quota in elective bodies.
Addressing the BC association leaders after they felicitated him for his grand pronouncement that TDP would give 100 seats to efficient BC candidates in the 2014 elections, Mr Naidu slammed the Congress for diluting BC’s policy by only spending Rs 50 crore as against an allocation of Rs 1200 crore under the Rajiv Abhyudaya program. He said the goal and political motto of TDP was to give prominence to BCs not only in economy, but also promote them socially and politically as well. He challenged the political leaders, who were criticizing the TDP for announcing 100 seats to BCs, to announce a better policy for BCs if they have any courage.
The TDP President called upon all castes in the BCs to unite and launch a fight on common platform to achieve their demands. UNI
