Telangana Telugu Desam on Monday slammed the state government accusing it of being irresponsible in tackling outbreak of Dengue in the state.
Speaking to media persons here, TD MLA Sandra Venkata Ramana came down heavily on the TRS government saying that it was least bothered about the public health in the state. At a time when the people are suffering due to Dengue and other viral fevers the state government has not woken up. About 21 people died in the state due to Dengue but the state government has not taken any step to tackle the crisis, the TD MLA remarked.
The TD leader demanded the state government to release an amount of Rs 20 lakh to the kin of the victims of Dengue as compensation under the CM Relief Fund. He also demanded the state government to run special medical camps in the affected areas to check the outbreak of viral fevers.
He said that the party would pay Rs 25,000 from the NTR Trust as financial aid to the kin of the victims who died due to Dengue. (INN)
