Hyderabad, August 06: The Telugu Desam Party has decided to undertake padayatra in the Sri Ram Sagar Project catchment area to create awareness about the Babli project, being illegally constructed by the Maharashtra government.
The party chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, would lead the padayatra. This was decided at the Politburo meeting of the party on Thursday.
Detailing about the deliberations, Mr Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao, has said that the party was undertaking the padayatra to create awareness among the farmers at village level, on the impending danger to their livelihood, when the illegal project was completed.
