TDP trying to destabilise Government, says CLP

Hyderabad, January 22: Taking strong exception to Telugu Desam’s criticism of the review meetings held by Chief Minister K Rosaiah at the two-day collectors’

conference, the Congress Legislature Party today remarked that the TDP leaders were conspiring to destabilise the Congress Government in the State.

“Rosaiah is an experienced leader and has been reviewing State’s evelopmental

and welfare activities even in the face of agitations rocking the State. But the Opposition party is indulging in bankrupt politics on the (reviews) issue.’’

Addressing reporters at the CLP office, Government Whip S Sailajanath and MLC P Venkata Rao remarked that TDP leaders like Yerran Naidu nursed a ‘grudge’ against people for handing it defeat at the elections. “People are observing TDP leaders’ reactions to public issues. Do not use NTR Bhavan (TDP headquarters) to hatch conspiracies,’’ they advised TDP leaders.

Replying to a query, the Government Whip reiterated that Congress MLAs and MLCs from the Andhra and Rayalaseema regions would not become part of the political JAC (Joint Action Committee) mooted by the TDP for Samaikyandhra’ movement. He, however, said that he did not doubt TDP’s sincerity to fight for `United Andhra Pradesh’.
