TDP Telangana leaders extend support to Hyderabad march

TDP Telangana leaders Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Mothkupalli Narsimhulu and Kadiam Srihari here on Thursday announced that they were supporting the Telangana March of TJAC on September 30.

Speaking to the media here, they said that Telangana ministers and MPs should strive to get permission for Telangana March if they were really sincere. They said that TDP functionaries in the entire Telangana region would hold protests at district centers and mandal headquarters on September 29 in support of the Telangana March. They also opined that there was clarity in the letter written by TDP Chief Nara Chandrababau Naidu to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Telangana issue. Some parties were misinterpreting it and trying to gain political mileage, they alleged.

They made it clear that they were committed to the letter given to Pranab Mukharjee in 2008 and Chandrababu Naidu again confirmed it. The TDP would send a single representative if the Centre holds all-party meeting on Telangana statehood, they added. Questioning TRS Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao’s demand for an all party meeting, they asked whether KCR was sold out for any package, they doubted. They also lashed out at KCR for not attending to the funeral of freedom fighter and Telangana leader Konda Laxman Bapuji.

Reminding that KCR camped in New Delhi for 21 days, the TDP leaders asked whether KCR and his son K Taraka Rama Rao were trying to mortgage Telangana agitation to New Delhi. Why KCR, who criticized Chandrababau’s letter, was not talking against the Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Aazad and Valayar Ravi, they questioned.
