TRS leaders today slammed Telugu Desam Telangana leader Revanth Reddy for trying to malign the TRS Government and making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Addressing a press conference at TRS Bhavan here, MLCs P Sudhakar Reddy, K Yadava Reddy and B Venkateshwarlu predicted that the TD will become empty as Telangana leaders are switching over to the TRS. The TD Telangana unit will become empty by June 1, when the MLC elections are set to be held, they said and suggested Revanth to prevent those who want to switch loyalties. The TD leadership is afraid of defecting leaders and is making meaningless comments, they said. The TRS leaders accused Revanth of indulging in ‘slavery’ to Andhra leader Chandrababu Naidu.
They demanded an apology from Revanth Reddy for his comments against the chief minister and suggested him to mend his ways of targeting the TRS Government. Though Revanth did not participate in the statehood movement, he is now trying to target the leaders who fought for Telangana, they said. ‘We have joined the TRS to participate in its efforts to make Telangana a golden state’ they said.(NSS).
