TDP to support bandh call: Nagam

Hyderabad, September 05: Senior Telugu Desam Party leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Saturday said that his party would lend complete support to the bandh called by Telangana Students Joint Action Committee over the demands of postponing the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Group-1 preliminary examinations.

Talking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Mr Janardhan Reddy said that the government should concede to the demands and announce a quota of 42 per cent for Telanganaites in recruitments for G-1 qualifiers and also the suspension of APPSC Chairman Venkatarami Reddy.

He said that the Congress government in the state has failed on all fronts. Mr Janardhan Reddy charged the government of being the most inefficient in the state.

The TDP leader expressed his anguish at the situation in the state where even examinations have to be held under the shadow of guns.
