TDP speaks many voices, TRS wants YSRCP members suspended

Business Advisory Committee meeting held for second time on Monday remained inconclusive on convincing the Seemandhra leaders to participate in the debate on Andhra Pradesh State Reorganization Bill 2013.
The BAC chaired by Speaker Nadendla Manohar failed to convince Seemandhra TDP and YSRCP legislators to cooperate in this regard. Before adjourning the House, the Speaker directed all political parties to give their written amendments for the bill by January 10. The Congress has succeeded in fixing these two parties by making it clear that its Seemandhra and Telangana leaders will give their opinion in a prepared format. Thus, it forced the Telugu Desam leaders to follow suit, though not taken a decision yet. Unmindful of giving mileage and with no other go, the House has to suspend unruly leaders of the YSRCP and Seemandhra TDP for continuing the debate.
While the ruling Congress and Telangana leaders sought that the debate be continued for eliciting opinion, Seemandhra leaders of TDP and YSRCP stuck to their guns against bifurcation. TRS and Telangana TDP leaders demanded that the Seemandhra TDP and YSRCP leaders be suspended from the House and conduct the debate. Pandemonium erupted out of a tussle between Seemandhra and Telangana leaders and forced the Speaker to take up the debate.
Although all Telangana leaders, irrespective of party affiliations pitched for continuation of the debate, ironically the Seemandhra TDP leaders spoke in multiple voices. YSR Congress Party sought a resolution in favor of Samaikyandhra State first and then begin the debate.
When Speaker Nadendla Manohar ruled out the united resolution and advised the members to participate in the debate, TDP leader G Muddu Krishnama Naidu walked out demanding that the House return the Telangana Bill to the Centre for having lapses. In the previous BAC meeting that almost held for about three hours, another TDP leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju opined that the bill lacks clarity while his colleague Payyavula Kesav sought some time for taking up the issue with the party and return to the meeting.
When MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi reportedly sought to know whether the debate began, Speaker tried to convince that they would continue the debate without touching upon the issue. Owaisi also made a strong pitch for the debate which was supported by TDP Telangana leader E Dayakar Rao. Dayakar Rao reportedly found fault with Lok Satta Party leader Jayaprakash Narayana for expressing concern over some lapses in the Bill. TRS leaders suggested that the House should suspend YSRCP leaders and continue the debate as it was done earlier.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu abstained from the BAC meeting. Despite pressure mounted by Telangana Congress leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ministers K Jana Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Uttam Kumar Reddy, DK Aruna, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy and others like Chief Whip G Venkata Ramana Reddy, whips A Mohan and Anil, the BAC could not come to a conclusion.
