Telugu Desam Polit (TDP) bureau member and former Union Minister K Yerrannaidu today slammed Congress-led Andhra Pradesh Government for extending support to the tainted Ministers Darmana Prasada Rao, K Parthasarathi and others. Addressing a press conference here today, he alleged though Revenue Minister was charge-sheeted by the CBI as accused no five in the Vanpic case and Secondary Education Minister was jailed in FERA violation case, they were still continuing as Ministers. ‘When Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana was removed from cabinet when he was jailed in Vanpic case, why the same was not followed in the case of Darmana Prasada Rao and K Parthasarathi’ the senior TDP leader asked and warned that in future Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy would face legal scrutiny for his ‘unjust’ acts. Blaming that the government was rotten with corruption, he deplored that while paddy crop in lakhs of acres was getting withered with the stopping of release of water from Prakasham barrage, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, APCC President Botcha Satyanarayana and a host of Minister were lobbying in Delhi. He asked the Congress leaders what were they doing while Pothireddy Padu project was being constructed in Kadapa district and diverting Krishna water, in an unjust manner, during the regime of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.
