TDP seeks disqualification of rebel MLAs

Telangana TDP leaders on Friday called on Legislative Assembly Speaker S Madhusudan Chary seeking action against five TDP MLAs who defected to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Led by TDP Legislature Party leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao and State Unit president L Ramana, the TDP leaders met the Speaker at his residence and submitted a memorandum seeking action against rebel MLAs. They said that the MLAs who defected to the TRS should be disqualified as members of Legislative Assembly.

Speaking to media persons later, Errabelli alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was encouraging defections in opposition parties. He also alleged that KCR had lured the MLAs by offering them posts and money. He said it was completely unconstitutional that T Srinivas Yadav’s resignation has been accepted although he completed six months in KCR’s cabinet as minister. (INN)
