The Telugu Desam Party on Tuesday dismissed the survey done by the NDTV projecting YSR Congress party as the major political group in the State.
Talking to reporters at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party office, TDP spokesperson and MLA A Revanth Reddy described the NDTV’s survey as fake and fabricated. He said that the survey was nothing but a Public Relations’ exercise done on behalf of YSR Congress party. He said the survey had no relevance with the existing political circumstances and it was ridiculous to predict on who would win the maximum number of seats when the general elections are to be held after two years.
Revanth Reddy, who was very critical of the survey for predicting zero number of seats to the TDP, furnished copies of newspaper clippings to convey that the NDTV group has taken over the editorial board of Sakhi Television. He said that the NDTV would gain about Rs 20 crore due to Sakshi deal. Therefore, he alleged that the NDTV has conducted an “irrelevant” survey to please YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy.
Advising the NDTV group to change its approach, he said that the TDP would lodge complaints with the National Broadcasters Association and other relevant bodies with regard to this political survey.
