TDP ridicules Jagan’s promise of corruption-free government

The Telugu Desam Party on Thursday challenged YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to take a vow at Siddhi Vinayaka Temple of Kanipakam in Chittoor district, that he was not a corrupt person.

Responding to the remarks of Jagan Mohan Reddy that he would give corruption-free government in the State if voted to power, TDP legislators Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy and Dhulipalla Narendra alleged that Jagan had struck a deal with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to avert his arrest from the CBI and confiscation of his property by probing agencies. They said that Jagan has been allowed to go scot free without arrest till date as a result of his secret deal.

Contending that the party had efficiently responded to the charges made against TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, the legislators said it was time Jagan should disclose the details of the cellars and bunkers stashed with illegal wealth amassed during his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s term as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
