Hyderabad, November 15: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today promised decentralisation of administration, if voted to power in the GHMC elections.
The party’s GHMC poll manifesto was released by party president N Chandrababu Naidu.
The manifesto assured that as part of decentralisation of administration for the convenience of the people, regional offices would be set up at all the important areas in the city.
This will enable the people to solve their problems locally and they need not rush to Corporation office for every petty work.
TDP also assured that citizen charter will be implemented in the corporation for effective administration. It assured that it would accord priority to solve water, air and noise pollution in the city and deve*lop greenery. All the tanks in the city will be developed into tourist spots.
Parking lots would be created at important places and complete the MMTS works to ease the traffic problem.
The TDP assured that surveillance cameras would be set up at all key places to prevent the terrorist activities in the city. TDP assured communal harmony in the city.
It will ensure that the IT industry would regain its past glory. Releasing the manifesto, Naidu assured that TDP would consult bankers and seek loan repayment holiday for IT professionals who lost their jobs.
The other highlights of the manifesto: Krishna water to every house.
Expedite the process of diverting Godavari waters to Hyderabad. Modernisatin of underground drainage. Special efforts to maintain the manholes.
To bring pressure on the government to supply uninterrupted power supply in the city. Free drinking water to all the worshipping places. Protection to all the settlers in the city. TDP tried to please all sections of the people including vendors, employees, youth and women.
