Hyderabad, May 13: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu today said his party leaders from Telangana and Andhra- Rayalaseema have presented their views before the Srikrishna Committee in tune with the sentiments of the people there.
“We have made our stand very clear on the state bifurcation issue. Our leaders from the two regions only represented the people’s sentiments to the five-member committee,” Naidu told reporters here today.
He asserted that both Telangana and Andhra-Rayalaseema regions were his “two eyes”.
“For the last 29 years, people of the two regions respected the TDP immensely. In fact, our party belongs to all the Telugu people,” he said.
To a question, Naidu said, “Let the Congress high command first spell out its stand on the statehood issue. I shall speak after that.”
The TDP chief demanded that both the state and Central governments fight the case effectively against Karnataka Tourism Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy’s Obulapuram Mining Company which got a temporary reprieve from the Supreme Court in the illegal iron ore mining case.
