New Delhi, June 02: Refuting the allegations leveled by Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu that the Centre was responsible for the Telangana crisis, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday said a decision on Telangana would be announced soon.
Talking to media persons here, the Union Home Minister said the Telangana issue would be resolved with cooperation of all leaders.
He advised Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu to makes his party’s stand clear on Telangana in the all-party meeting to be convened to arrive at a solution on the vexed issue, on a priority basis.
“I agree with TDP that the Telangana issue should be solved on top priority basis,” he said.
If all political parties extend their cooperation, Mr Chidambaram said that a meeting of all-parties would be convened soon to address the problem.
The problem cannot be solved if the political parties did not cooperate and make their stand clear on the issue, the Union Home Minister said.
“There is no truth in the reports that Centre is delaying taking a decision the Telangana state issue deliberately,” he said.
