TDP moves privilege motion against minister Parathasarthy

Telugu Desam Party MLA Payyavula Kesav on Wednesday stated that the party would move a privilege motion against Krishna district in-charge minister K Parthasarathy for violating the rights of MLAs during the allotment of houses.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, he said that the Minister has violated the rights of MLAs and allotted houses constructed for poor and backward classes’ people to his party men. However, the Minister denied the TDP charge that houses allotted to his henchmen. He said that 2000 houses would be constructed for poor under MLAs constituency funds through Andhra Pradesh Housing Construction.

However, during the allotment of houses, the lists of beneficiaries were selected by the Minister’s henchmen instead of TDP MLA representing the constituency. When K Parthasarathy was questioned in the House, the Minister did not give proper reply and stated that no irregularities have been taken place, he said.

In protest against the Minister’s answer, the TDP has decided to move a privilege motion against him. A notice in this regard has already been sent to Speaker Nadendla Manohar.

Payyavula Kesav stated that the TDP would submit a CD to Governor over his arrogant behavior in giving reply and seek his dismissal from the Cabinet.

Another TDP MLA Rama Kotaiah alleged that irregularities have taken place in the allotment of houses constructed for poor and backward class people in Krishna district. Devineni Umamaheswara Rao was also present. (INN)
