Kadapa, December 20: Proddatur Telugu Desam MLA M Linga Reddy has demanded that the Central Government withdraw its move to bifurcate the State considering the demand of a majority section of people for unified Andhra Pradesh.
Reddy, who embarked on a padayatra for the cause of Samaikyandhra from Mylavaram to Railway Kodur, reached Rajupalem mandal today. Addressing a meeting at Parlapadu, he called upon people to intensify the agitation to thwart the `divide and rule’ policy of the Congress-led UPA Government. The Congress would have to pay a heavy price if it goes ahead on creation of separate Telangana State, he warned.
