Hyderabad, January 09: The Telangana issue today appeared to have created a stir in the Telugu Desam with a section of its leaders demanding separate unit for the region but the problem blew away soon as they announced loyalty to the party and president N Chandrababu Naidu.
The stir was generated with a group of senior leaders including Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Kadiam Srihari, and P Harishwar Reddy holding a meeting at the residence of Janardhan Reddy.
With speculation being made that the leaders were raising a banner of revolt, they clarified that they remained loyal to the party and the leadership of Naidu.
“We met here to discuss Sri Krishna Committee report. Our party cadres and leaders in Telangana want a separate party unit for the region to take forward the Telangana agitation.
But there is no truth in reports that we are revolting.
