TDP leaders pressurize Naidu to take action on Nagam

Hyderabad, May 07: TDP senior leaders are reportedly bringing pressure on the party chief Chandrababu Naidu to take action on the controversial Nagam Janardana Reddy who is defying the party discipline and planning a big rally in his constituency Nagar Kurnool of Mahabubnagar district. Nagam has been embarrassing the party leadership by acting independently on the Telangana issue and by asserting that he would not compromise on the matter, irrespective of the party stance.

Senior party leaders also strongly object to Nagam supporting Jagan when the party was fighting a major political battle with him, using all its strength in Kadapa. TDP leaders consider Nagam expressing support to Jagan at this juncture was an inexcusable violation of the party discipline. They want Naidu to act at least now and take action on Nagam.

Naagam is planning a big rally to mobilize strength to the Telangana movement in Nagar Kurnool on May 9. This rally is being organized by Nagam independently. He said the rally was being organized in an apolitical manner and leaders of all political parties including the TDP and people’s organizations and movement leaders were welcome to attend it.
