Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers and leaders have been offering prayers in churches, darghas and temples for the success of party Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s padayatra beginning tomorrow, in a bid to revive the electoral prospects of the party. A large number of women activists led by party’s Mahila Wing President Shobha Hymavati leaders have offered prayers at the Dargah located at Nampally. Later speaking to the media, TDP leader said her party president was under taking the ardous task at the age of 62 for the betterment of the peoples welfare.
She said well wishers of TDP president were offering prayers and pujas at all temples, churches and dargahs across the state wishing him success in his people oriented venture. However, the students wing of the Party performed a special ritual and prayer at Padala Mandpam at Alipiri in Tirupati in chittoor district.
Leaders of students groups led by Sapthagiri Prasad have offered 108 coconuts to Lord Balaji at Tirupati praying for his blessings for the success of the four-months long ‘Pada Yatra’. UNI
