TDP founder and former chief minister Nandamuri Tarak Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR) was the beloved son of Telugu people and he had floated the party for the welfare of poor and self-respect of Telugu people.
“Today, we are in politics and that credit goes to NTR, who always remembered for his selfless services”, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said while addressing the second day session of Mahanadu. He said NTR had shown the country how welfare schemes and programs were being launched, he said.
Criticizing TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao for making provocative statements, the TDP senior leader said KCR has forgotten all his promises and encouraging family rule. TDP MP and actor Murali Mohan said fNTR had shown the power of Telugu people to the country by floating the party.
Murali Mohan, who was elected from Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat, was speaking at Mahanadu. NTR had floated TDP to help poor people and resolve their problems. NTR would be always remembered for his selfless services and for his welfare programs taken up for poor people. He hoped that under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra) would be developed.
Another senior leader Motukupalli Narasimhulu said he entered politics on the call given by late NTR. It was NTR, who gave tickets to educated youth and encouraged them in politics. He said that TRS president KCR, who is taking over as chief minister of Telangana State should waive loans of DWCRA groups, he demanded.
TDP leader and MLA Revanth Reddy exuded confidence that his party would come into power in Telangana in 2019. TDP floated by NTR is like a university, whoever joined the party had bright future, he added. (NSS)
