Kurnool, March 02: In a novel protest against hike in prices of petrol and diesel, TDP leader and former Kurnool mayor Bangi Ananthaiah set two of his motorcycles on fire. He took out the two-wheelers on a rickshaw in procession to the Collectorate and set them on fire.
He lamented that due to the hike the situation didn’t permit use of vehicles. “We don’t have any other go except for opting cycles, rickshaws and bullock-carts,’’ he ridiculed.
The TDP leader maintained that there was nobody to take notice of people’s problems. “Except for hiking prices, Congress Government knew nothing,’’ he said.
