TDP Govt Implementing Many Welfare Programs–Naidu

Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu today said the party was floated for the welfare of downtrodden, farmers and poor people.

He was addressing a public meeting after participating in Janchaitanya yatra at Vemuru in Guntur district. TDP always support and take care of people’s welfare. There were so many problems and the state has deficit budget, he said adding that despite of these problems, the government is implementing welfare programmes in the state. It was TDP government which has initiated first time construction of pucca houses in the country, Naidu said.

The chief minister said he has seen problems and owes of people when he undertook padyatra in 2008. After this experience, the government has formulated programmes to ensure providing hassle-free administration to the people, he said.

TDP government has waived off Rs 24,000 crore farmers loans and various welfare schemes are being implemented in the state, he said adding that the pension amount increased to Rs 1000 from Rs 200 and 44 lakh people are getting benefit of this pension. The government is spending Rs 6,000 crore for the purpose of pensions only and pensions werebeing given keeping in view the welfare of poor, handicapped and aged persons.(NSS)
