The TDP has demanded that the SEZ lands be returned to farmers.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, party senior leaders Dadi Veera Bhadra Rao and Kodela Shiva Prasad have warned the government that their party would launch an agitation if lands were not returned. They have said that land allottees instead of starting industries and providing employment were doing real estate business. They said it was astonishing that there was no response from the government though the CAG has censured the government on the allotments. They said the government had not stuck even to its own commitment of appointing a House Committee on land allocations.
CASE AGAINST BOTSA DEMANDED
Meanwhile, TDP women wing leader Radhika has demanded action against the PCC chief Botsa for allegedly running hundreds of wine shops.
Speaking to the media at Mahabubnagar on Tuesday, she has alleged that Botsa was running liquor shops in the name of white ration card owners. She has described him as Mafia king and said it was atrocious that being in a responsible position as the PCC chief as well as minister, he was running illicit liquor trade. She has demanded that criminal case should be registered against him.
Radhika has said that ministers and MLAs had taken crores of rupees as kick backs and sanctioned belt shops in every village. Though drinking water was not available, there was no dearth for liquor in the rural areas, she said. She has lamented that the poor were spending all their earnings on liquor.
The women wing of TDP has launched a signature campaign against the liquor menace in the state on Tuesday. She said after collecting the signatures, they would be sent to the state office from where a memorandum would be submitted to the Governor with one crore signatures. (NSS)
