(Siasat News) TDP demanded the Govt. to issue instructions to GHMC to prevent epidemic diseases such as chicken gunia, Dengue fever, Swine flue and Malaria which are on the increase in the city. A delegation of TDP led by floor leader of GHMC, Mr. S. Srinivasa Reddy met the C.M. and presented a memorandum to him informing him about he spread of epidemic diseases in the city. Later, talking to newsmen, Mr. Srinivasa Reddy told that GHMC is evading its responsibilities. It is avoiding to organize Diseases Awareness Awakening Programme. He further told that all the officers of GHMC are engaged in the works relating to international conference on Bio-diversity. He told that many citizens are suffering from these dreadful diseases. They are going to private hospitals. The silence of GHMC amounts to playing with the lives of the people. Mr. Reddy further said that main roads are getting repaired whereas small roads and streets are getting neglected. He demanded the Govt. to include these ailments in the list of Aurogyashree scheme.
