TDP demands dismissal of corrupt ministers

Hyderabad, October 03: Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday stated that both Union and State Government stood as benchmarks of growing corruption in the public domain.

Talking to media persons after paying rich floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue at Legislative Assembly premises on his birth anniversary, Chandrababu Naidu said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi has only made a compromise between Finance Minister Pranab Mukherji and Home Minister P Chidambaram, but did not address the issue of 2G scam, which caused huge losses to the tune of Rs 1.75 lakh crore to State’s exchequer.

Naidu also demanded that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy dismiss the corrupt ministers from his Cabinet and take steps to provide a corruption-free administration. He said that there was no response from the State Government even when the courts indicted ministers on corruption and scams.

The TDP chief also slammed the State and Central Governments for not measure to help ailing farmers in the State. “It is a shame that government is remaining silent even when the farmers are facing hardship and even resorted to declare crop holidays in Godavari districts,” he stated.
