TDP Demands Arrest Of All Tainted Ministers

TDP has demanded arrest of all the six tainted ministers, who were served with notices by the Supreme Court.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, party senior leaders questioned why minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, whose name was included in the CBI charge-sheet and minister K. Parthasarathy, who was convicted in the FERA violation case, were so far not arrested.

Demanding that Geeta Reddy, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Sabita Indra Reddy and Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who have received notices from the Supreme Court should be removed from the cabinet, he said how there could be a different law for the ministers. He pointed out that a petty employee was being arrested for taking a small bribe of Rs 500 and sent to jail. He questioned how ministers, who swore by the Constitution were being tolerated even when they were looting public money to the tune of several thousands of crores of rupees.

Terming the resignation of Dharmana Prasada Rao as a drama, he alleged that the minister had grabbed the Kanne Dhara hills and had got a road laid to his house with the funds of the Employment Guarantee Scheme. Charging Dharmana with grabbing prime municipal lands in Srikakulam, he questioned why Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, who as Industries minister, had directed the suspended IAS Officer Srilakshmi to remove the word ‘captive’ from the mining lease order given to Gali Janardana Reddy was not arrested, while the IAS officer was sent to jail.
Ridiculing the assurance of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy that water would be provided to 30 lakh acres, Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu has questioned if the CM does not remember that the government had not given water even to a single acre of land despite spending Rs 70,000 crores on Jala Yagnam. He lamented that the government was not in a position even to get funds for roads, railways and gas. He said the State never had a more incompetent Chief Minister.

PARTHA INSULTED TRICOLOUR: MOTKUPALLI

Another senior leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu has said that minister Parthasarathy has insulted the national flag and the people by hoisting the flag on Independence Day despite being convicted in the FERA case. Calling the resignation of Dharmana Prasada Rao as drama, he said if he was sincere he should submit his resignation to the Governor and not to the Chief Minister. (NSS)
