TDP demands all party meet on power crisis

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today demanded that the state government must convene an all-party meeting to discuss the power crisis in the state. Instead of visiting New Delhi, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy should call the meeting Telugu Desam Telangana Forum Convener Yerrabelli Dayakar Rao told reporters here.

He also demanded that the government must supply seven hours of power to farmers in Telangana Region. He warned that he would go on an indefinite strike if the government failed to solve the crisis.

However, he informed that the Chief Minister telephoned him in the morning to assure that he would meet him after his return from New Delhi. The TDP Leader said that he was firm on launching ‘Deeksha’ over the power crisis and would continue the same until the government convenes an all party meeting to discuss the issue. UNI
