TDP Demands 3 Health Minsiters Resignation

Hyderabad, July 09: The Telugu Desam Party has accused the state government of adopting an indifferent attitude towards public health, and demanded the health ministers to resine immediately. Demanding open apologies to the public, the TDP said that the state has become ‘Anarogyandhra Pradesh’ even though there were three ministers for the Health and Medical Departments.

In a press note here on Thursday, the party state secretary Mr Kommineni Sai Prathap and Cultural Wing executive president Mr P Saibabu have said that the government has utterly failed in controlling the communicable diseases which were spreading like anything in the state.

They said people of about 610 villages in the Agency area were suffering from Malaria, Dengue, Daierria and other fevers due to the lack facilities in primary health centers because the government was not releasing the funds for the centers.

They observed that the people were in fears for Swine flu’s wild spread though the government imported more than 80,000 doses of swine flu vaccine. The government was not filling the 850 super specialty doctor posts vacant in the state Vaidya Vidhana Parishath, they said and added that due to this attitude the health situation was deteriorating in the state severely. Though the death toll due to swine flu rose to 8 this year in the state, the government was rejoicing in organising ‘Srikrishna Devaraya Pattabhishekam’, ‘Late YSR’s Birth Anniversary Celebrations’.

They also lamented the ruckus between the Chief Minister Mr K Rosaiah and Kadapa MP YS Jagan and the Chief minister’s frequent Delhi tours forgetting the people’s welfare. They said the Chief Minister was busy in wooing the Congress party high command.
