Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Sunday expressed confidence that the party would win from Parakala seat in the ensuing by-elections.
Talking to reporters after meeting TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence along with leaders of Warangal district, Earrabelli said that the TDP has a strong base in Parakala compared to other parties. Further, he alleged that the people in Parakala have been fed up with the harassment of Konda Surekha and her husband Murali. Therefore, he said that the TDP candidate has strong prospects of winning the by-elections.
He said that the Telangana Rashtra Samitha and Bharatiya Janata Party were weak in the Parakala constituency and that was the reason why they could not finalise a candidate for the by-polls.
However, Errabelli said that the TDP would withdraw from the contest if the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee fields an independent candidate on ‘no jhanda, no agenda’ (No Flag, No Party) basis. (INN)
