TDP condemns MLAs merger with TRS

Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party has strongly condemned the decision of Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary to merger 12 defected TDP MLAs into TRS.

Speaking to media persons, TDP leaders R. Chandrashekar Reddy and Kothakota Dayakar Reddy said that the TDP has submitted a disqualification petition to the Speaker about 16 months ago. However, he took decision on a petition given by defected MLAs within 18 hours which is highly questionable. They alleged that the Speaker’s decision was influenced by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

They asked the Speaker to clarify the status of disqualification petitions submitted against the MLAs who defected to TRS. They announced that the TDP would wage a political and legal battle against the Speaker’s decision. (INN)
