TDP condemns delay in publication of reserved GHMC wards

TDP Greater Hyderabad president and Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath has criticsed the TRS Government for delaying publication of list of reserved wards.

In an informal chat with media persons here on Tuesday, Maganti alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was afraid of losing GHMC elections. Therefore, he said he was holding the reserved wards’ list a secret from opposition parties. He said that the TRS leaders already got the list and have started drafting their poll strategy. He said that the list might be announced on December 31 without giving sufficient time to the opposition parties to prepare for the GHMC polls.

Maganti also alleged that the TRS has been trying to lure a few more MLAs. He said the ruling party has been blackmailing the opposition leaders of dire consequences if they don’t join it. However, he said that the TDP-BJP alliance would emerge victorious in the forthcoming GHMC elections. (INN)
