Telugu Desam Party(TDP) today complained to state Chief Electoral Officer against TRS activists indulging in violent acts during the election campaingning of party President N Chandrababu Naidu in Kamareddy Assembly Constituency. In a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer, copy of which was released to media here, former minister T Srinivasa Yadav said ‘our party President Mr N Chandrababu Naidu has been conducting election campaign in Kamareddy assembly constituency with prior intimation to police with necessary permission.’ He charged that when the campaigning was going on at Faredpet village in Machareddy mandal today, some of the ‘miscreants’ owing allegience to TRS party suddenly entered the scene and pelted stones on the convoy of Mr Naidu with the intention of preventing TDP leaders and workers from conducting the campaigning, a fundamentalamental right of the party.
The miscreants also created a scare among the people who turned up for the public meetings, he charged. Their actions were illegal as they had taken law into their hands in the presence of the police. The police also failed to take action, he charged. Mr Yadav appealed to the Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) to take immediate action against TRS workers involved in the incident. UNI
