TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has said that his party would stand by the BCs and strive for their empowerment.Mahbubnagar district Yadav Association leaders Satyam Yadav, Venkatesh Yadav, Hanmant Yadav, Sriramula Yadav, Govind Yadav and others met Naidu at the NTR Trust Bhavan today and thanked him for declaring 100 seats for the BCs and a package of Rs 10,000 crores for their welfare.
Addressing the BC leaders, Naidu said that his party was committed to the welfare of the BCs. He alleged that the Congress government had totally neglected the BCs and had not allocated funds to the Goat and Sheep Cooperative Development Federation. He also said that the government was not taking any action though shepherds were not receiving any ex gratia.
Telangana Vaddera Sangham president Samba Raj, Gunje Hanmanthu, Maisaiah, Manohar and others also congratulated Naidu. They have appealed to Naidu to use his good offices to ensure that Vadderas were included in the list of STs.
Assuring them that he was with the community, Naidu said his party would fight for their welfare and resolution of their problems. He has agreed with the leaders of the community that they were very backward with respect to education, employment and political opportunities. He said the government was not taking any steps for the welfare of the nomadic tribes.
TDP leaders Revuri Prakash Reddy, P Chandrasekhar, Kanakachary and others have also participated in the program.
