TDP asks PM to sack jaipal for Insulting telugus

TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today demanded that the Centre dismiss Union minister Jaipal Reddy for his alleged comment insulting Telugu people.
In a statatement here today, Yanamala demanded that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh sack Jaipal Reddy from the Union cabinet and the latter should apologize to the people for insulting Telugu people. It may be mentioned here that Jaipal Reddy on Saturday reported to have commented that “Shuntalu” (muffs) were also born in the land of legendaries like Prakasam Pantulu and Pattabhi Seetharamaiah.
Though Jaipal Reddy held various posts, he did not have a permanent constituency, followers and political stability, Yanamala stated and pointed out that Jaipal Reddy, who was in Janata Party later became an MP with TDP support after ditching Janata Party. He also recalled that Jaipal Reddy was the person, who had asked then government to send Rajiv Gandhi to gallows in Bofors scam case. But surprisingly, he become close to Sonia Gandhi and became a Union minister. He also alleged that Jaipal Reddy was following footsteps of TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao and uttering objectionable words. (NSS)
