The Telugu Desam Party on Sunday demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy issue a clarification citing reasons for delay in taking decision on the resignation of Roads and Buildings B Dharmana Prasad Rao.
Talking to reporters here, senior leader of TDP K Yerran Naidu said that the Chief Minister has been deliberately delaying the decision on the fate of Dharmana Prasad Rao, who submitted resignation from the State cabinet after he was named as an accused in the CBI chargesheet in the disproportionate assets case of Jaganmohan Reddy. He alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy was shielding the tainted ministers for political reasons at the instance of Congress High Command.
The TDP leader also slammed the State Government for not releasing water for Krishna Delta region from the Nagarjunasagar Dam. He said lakh of farmers would get affected if the water was not released immediately. He also accused the Congress government of going back on the promises it made in its election manifesto. He said several schemes including Fee Reimbursement promised by the Congress party have been diluted.
