Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday said that it would approach the court against the transfer of Additional Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau K Sreenivasa Reddy.
Addressing a press conference at NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP Deputy Floor leader Gali Muddu Krishnamma Naidu said that Sreenivasa Reddy, who was heading the Special Investigation Team that exposed multi-crore liquor syndicate in the State, was abruptly transferred as IG of Coastal Security. He said that although the State Government gave promotion to Sreenivasa Reddy, but its intention was to remove him from the on-going investigation into the liquor scam.
Muddu Krishnamma Naidu said that the timing of Sreenivasa Reddy’s promotion and transfer raises several doubts. He alleged that the Congress High Command was behind Sreenivasa Reddy’s transfer and it was done when both Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana were stationed in the national capital.
The TDP leader said that his party would approach the court seeking stay on his transfer as the investigation into the liquor scam was in a crucial stage and many high profile politicians including ministers were involved in it.
Meanwhile, B Shivdhar Reddy on Wednesday assumed charge as the new Additional Director ACB from Sreenivasa Reddy.
