The Telugu Desam party has expressed its displeasure over non-receipt of an invitation from the Lok Sabha Secretariat to the NTR statue unveiling function on Tuesday.
Annoyed over not inviting party supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu for the statue unveiling function, the TDP MPs have decided to call on Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Monday.
It may be mentioned here that the Lok Sabha Speaker is scheduled to unveil a statue of late chief minister NT Rama Rao on the premises of Parliament House on Tuesday. Union Minister D. Purandareshwari has reportedly telephoned to selective NTR family members and invited them to the function. She reportedly wrote to TDP MPs inviting them to the ceremony. NTR’s actor son Nandamuri Balakrishna is proceeding to Delhi to witness the statue installation. (NSS)
